A very happy new year, gentle readers. I hope you all had a brilliantly louche festive season and are reading this in suitably debauched fettle. thegeneral is temporarily coming out of hibernation to bring you a really great track to kick off January (though I do realise we're more than half way through now...)
I couldn't think of a nicer band than The Everglows to be ushering the first blog entry of the year in - and so that's what I'm doing.
Today they've released yet another brilliant single, they contacted me to let me know - and you can listen to it here:

"It's Alright For You And Me" is a corker. It's fantastically jangly, utterly psychedelic and has a guitar riff to die for. Again, it seems to be one of those songs that you only need to listen to once to get stuck into your head - what I call a "right earworm" innit. I love it, and so should you too. Though I'm honestly not being bossy or anything. But I am really. They're one of the bands I'm going to continue to champion through 2015 so you'll be seeing a lot more of them on these pages throughout the year (hopefully)
The guys are actually going to be doing a live session on croydonradio.com/ tonight (Saturday 17th January) between 6 and 7pm, so if you're available to listen, then you should kick your evening off in great style with them.
In the meantime, give the new single a whirl. It's fantastic!
